Certifications That Enable Indian Students to Study MBA in Canada

Since the time, The United Nations and Economist Intelligence Unit has ranked Canada among the top ten places to live in, Indian students is more opt to study MBA from one of the top Canadian B Schools. The country gives plethora of graduate and post graduate courses to them. Simultaneously, MBA has been put in line with all major courses to pursue. Let's argue about basic factors that are required to study Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Canada.

Requirement for MBA Admission

Most business schools in Canada select students who have 16 years of undergraduate education. The three year graduate course from India will not serve applicants' purpose to take admission in MBA. It is mandatory to have a four year graduate degree after high school. For Indian students it necessary to complete a professional degree course of 4 year duration like engineering, then only they will turn eligible for MBA in Canada.

If you have had 3-year degree program such as B.Sc, BA, B Com, it is advisable to maximize your eligibility by studying a post-graduate degree like M.Sc., MA or M.com from an Indian university of college. Then you will be applicable to pursue MBA in Canada.

Work Experience

Apart from the educational certificates, there are most of the B schools in the Canada that require maximum of two to three years of work experience to study MBA in the country. However, there are some B schools that may accept students without work experience, but priority is given to those who come with work experience background.

GMAT

Indian students need to qualify GMAT, which is the Graduate Management Admission Test that measures candidate's verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills. GMAT is required to Study in Canada.

TOFEL/IELTS

The MBA schools in the country of Canada select students who have had TOFEL or IELTS certificate. Yes, you need to pass any of the two tests, which is the simple exam for students who have studied in English medium throughout.

The objective of taking one of these tests is to check English proficiency of applicants. The minimum score for most B Schools range from 550 to 600 on the paper based TOFEL and 213 to 250 on the computer based TOFEL. Besides, you can also take IELTS score, as it is also acceptable in place of TOFEL.


To be frank, unless or until you have the above-mentioned degree, you will not be able to pursue MBA in Canada
